$700,000 Paktika stadium inaugurated

Governor Mohibullah Samim told the inaugural ceremony that the project, funded by the Ministry of Counter-Narcotics, was completed at a cost of $700,000.

Calling the stadium a new step in Paktika’s development, the governor said the playground was equipped with all necessary facilities.

The project took years to complete, said Director of Sports Mohammadullah, who added the stadium had football, volleyball and basketball courts. The stadium has the capacity to accommodate 3,230 spectators.
