World Bank to give Education Ministry $5m

KABUL Bank (WB) had pledged it $5 million in assistance, with Germany agreeing to set up establish the Faculty of Mines at the Balkh University.

The World Bank funding would be spend on the equipping laboratories, printing textbooks and sending lecturers abroad for master’s programme, a statement from the ministry said.

Germany also promised help in the establishment of the Faculty of Mines at the Balkh University, the statement added.
