CHARIKAR): Seven workers of a private company were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in struck a roadside bomb in central Parwan province on Saturday.
Five other employees of the mining firm were wounded in the explosion that took place in the Zhala area Bagram district at 2pm, a police officer said.
Col. Hashmatullah told Pajhwok Afghan News the workers were on their to a chromite mine in the area. One of the victims hailed from Jalalabad and the rest from different parts of Parwan, he said.
Director of Public Health hospitals in critical condition. One is under treatment at the Parwan Civil Hospital.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but the authorities often blame the Taliban for roadside bombings.
