SHARAN (PAN (ARCS) has dispatched relief supplies to hundreds of displaced families in southeastern Paktika province, an official said on Tuesday.
The families migrated to Orgun from Gayan district due to insecurity three months back. An ARCS survey found 300 families were displaced, the society head for Paktika, Momin Akbar, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
All the families were distributed relief supplies. Gul Mohammad, a beneficiary of the aid, said he received 14 items which would meet his family needs for some time.
He said the families were given clothing, carpets, flour, rice, oil, tea, sugar and soaps.
Abdul Matin, another displaced person, urged the government to deploy security forces to their home town to facilitate their return. Living in tents and ruined houses, the families are facing many problems, he said.
