MEHTARLAM (PAN): Two civilians were killed and as many sustained shrapnel injuries in a roadside bombing in the Alishang district of eastern Laghman province on Friday, an official said.
The civilians were on foot when one of them stepped on a hidden mine that went off around 10am in the Kardai Selab area, the governor’s spokesman said.
The injured had been taken to the central hospital in Mehtarlam, the provincial capital, said Sarhadi Zwak, who accused the Taliban of emplacing the bomb.
