Afghan National Army (ANA) Special Forces and US Special Operations members held a transfer-of-authority ceremony, which was attended by ISAF Commander General Joseph F. Dunford.
On the occasion, 4th Special Operations Kandak Commander Lt. Col. Saifullah Najribi said: “Our capabilities greatly exceed that of our enemies. All we need to do is wear our uniform with pride and a sense of patriotism.”
ISAF said its troops had conducted village stability operations to bring safety to remote and rural villages. The platforms played a vital role in ISAF’s counterinsurgency campaign, bringing the fight to militants.
