GHAZNI CITY (PAN): Ten militants, including a commander, have been killed during separate clashes in Khogyani and Maqur districts of southern Ghazni province, an official said on Monday.
Three militants were killed and as many wounded during a clash with security forces in Mullah Kala area of Khogyani on Sunday night, 203rd Thunder Military Corps spokesman Nazifullah Sultani told Pajhwok Afghan News.
In Maqur, seven militants, including their commander, were killed during an operation in Koh Band area early Monday.
The raid was conducted on a house, where the seven were hiding, Sultani said, adding civilians and security forces stayed unharmed.
But a Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, claimed three Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were killed during a clash in Khogyani on Monday, a claim local officials dismissed.
