KUNDUZ CITY (PAN): Two robbers and a policeman were killed during a shootout in the Dasht-i-Archi district of northeastern Kunduz province early Monday, an official said.
Police opened fire at the bandits after they stole a herd of sheep grazing on a field in the area, police spokesman Syed Sarwar Hussaini said.
He added police tried to capture the robbers alive, but they had guns. The men were wanted by police in connection with similar past incidents.
