TALOQAN (PAN): Gunmen shot dead a community development council chief along with two of his bodyguards during an attack in northeastern Takhar province on Monday, an official said.
A third guard of Najibullah was wounded in the assault in the Qazaq area on the outskirts of Taloqan, the provincial, police spokesman Khalil Asir told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He linked the assassination to a tribal dispute as no group has so far asserted responsibility for Najibullah’s murder.
