KABUL, were injured when a bomb-rigged motorcycle went off in the capital of central Logar province on Friday, an official and witnesses said.
The blast took place in front of a Kabul Bank branch in Pul-i-Alam around 10am, the governor’s spokesman, Din Mohammad Darwish, said. The explosives had been planted on a motorcycle parked in front of the bank, he said.
The blast killed one public order police and injured three others, he said. But witnesses said two women were also injured in the blast.
The injured policemen had been shifted to a health facility of the public order police in the city.
A doctor at the main hospital in Pul-i-Alam, Samiullah, confirmed they had been delivered two injured women from the scene, saying their injuries were not life-threatening.
There has been no claim of responsibility for the explosion.
