FARAH CITY (PAN): Three students were killed and as many others wounded on Wednesday when a bomb exploded in the Pusht Rod district of western Farah province.
Mohammad Anwar, giving an eyewitness account, said the landmine had been planted under a culvert near a primary school in Masaw village. The injured were taken to hospital.
The district chief, Ghausuddin, told Pajhwok Afghan News that two boys were killed and three others seriously injured in the blast.
Abdul Hakim Rassouli, the provincial hospital head, said one of the boys succumbed to his injuries.
