ASADABAD (PAN): Two civilians and a policeman were killed and two others injured in a roadside bombing in eastern Kunar province, a provincial security official said on Thursday.
Kunar police chief, Brig. Gen. Abdul Habib Syedkhel, told Pajhwok Afghan News a police vehicle hit the landmine in Bin Shahi, a border area in Dangam district, leaving two civilians and a police official dead.
Two border policemen had received multiple injuries in the incident, he said, adding their car was comprehensively damaged by Wednesday’s explosion.
Claiming responsibility for the bomb attack, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said five border police personnel had been killed.
