Flanked by officials, scholars and tribal elders, Governor Abdul Jabbar Naeemi cut the ribbon to open the mosque, funded by the Hajj and Auqaf Department.
Speaking on the occasion, Hajj and Auqaf Director Maulvi Izharuddin said the mosque had been built at a special request from the governor.
He promised more mosques and religious schools would be constructed in the province. The mosque has the capacity to accommodate 300 people.
Naeemi hoped the mosque would serve a centre of brotherhood, unity and peace in the province.
