KUNDUZ (PAN): Five members of a family were killed and as many others injured in a traffic accident in northern Kunduz province, an official said on Tuesday.
Maj. Shaista Gul, a traffic department officer, told Pajhwok Afghan News a Corolla car crashed into a supply truck on the Kunduz City-Sher Khan Port highway.
Blaming the overnight accident on careless driving, he said the dead included a woman.
Dr. Abdul Qudus Miakhel, the provincial hospital director, confirmed receiving two injured children from the crash site.
Gul Rahim, a relative of the victims, said, all those in the car were from the same family returning from a wedding party in Kunduz City to Imam Sahib district.
