Truckers asked not to carry ISAF supplies

Also on Monday evening, the Torkham border crossing was reopened after intermittent closures over the past four days due to the Loya Jirga and PTI protests against drone attacks on targets on Pakistani soil.

The border was reopened and a large number of transit containers carrying fruits and vegetables, which had been stranded on both sides, were allowed to cross, a private TV channel reported. The Express Tribune quoted Torkham political administration official Amjad Khan as saying of NATO supply containers were also allowed to cross the border.
