KALAT (PAN): A mine blast left three police officials dead and six other wounded in southern Zabul province on Tuesday, an official said.
Mohammad Jan Rasoolyar, Zabul’s deputy governor , told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place in Ludinano area on the suburbs of Arghandab district at around 1: 30pm.
He said the mine explosion occurred when a police convoy was passing through the area.
Sources said the blast killed three policemen and wounded five others, including district police chief.
Officials of the local hospital said three dead and six injured had been received who said the wounded officials were in stable condition.
Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
