GHAZNI CITY (PAN): Two children were died in an explosion in the Ander district of the southern Ghazni province, while three rebels were killed following a clash with security forces in Deh Yak district of the province, officials said on Wednesday.
Mohammad Qasim Desiwal, administrative head of Ander district, said the explosion took place in Sepai area of the town last night, leaving two children–a brother and sister dead.
Talking to Pajhwok Afghan News, he said the explosives were planted by the Taliban.
Meanwhile, three armed rebels have been killed following a clash in the Laghbad area of Deh Yak district, the town’s police chief, Faiz Mohammad Tofan said.
He said police and civilians suffered no casualties in the assault.
Taliban have not yet comment on the incident.
