HERAT CITY (PAN): A district police chief on Sunday said he had escaped unhurt along with his colleagues in a bomb attack in western Herat province.
Col. Abdul Qayyum Noorzai told Pajhwok Afghan News he survived the remote-controlled blast before noon when he was patrolling the district bazaar.
He blamed the Taliban for the roadside bombing on the police patrol, but there was no immediate reaction from the militant movement.
