PUL-I-KHUMRI (PAN): Police seized 286 kilograms of drugs concealed in wheat bags in northern Baghlan province on Monday.

The drugs were recovered from a truck intercepted at a police check post in Pul-i-Khumri, the provincial capital, the provincial police chief said.

Lt. Gen. Aminullah Amarkhel told Pajhwok Afghan News the opium was destined for Kabul.

He said police had detained the driver and the truck moved to the police headquarters.
