Suspected rebels killed by own explosives

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Two bomb-makers were killed and a woman and a child injured on Friday when their own explosives went off in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said.

Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal, the provincial police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the suspected insurgents were assembling a bomb that exploded prematurely before noon.

A doctor in the Nangarhar Civil Hospital said two women Khalis Farm area of Jalalabad, the provincial capital.

He said a woman and a child were in critical condition. Police have started investigating the matter. The Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
