KABUL (Pajhwok): Two individuals have been detained for allegedly stealing number plates of cars in Kabul and four ready-to-fire rockets seized in the Khak-i-Jabbar district, the spy service said on Tuesday.
A statement from the National Directorate of Security (NDS) said the pair was detained red-handed while removing number plates from vehicles during an operation by police in Gul Dara district.
The statement said Popal and Zalmai were arrested while removing number plates of cars parked in a street last night. The men had their cell numbers written on cars in order to bargain with owners.
It claimed 19 number plates had been recovered from the detainees.
The NDS also said four rockets aimed at Kabul City were seized during an operation in the Khak-i-Jabbar district of the central province.
