KABUL (Pajhwok): Border police have detained three Pakistani militants in the wake of a fierce gunbattle in the Lalpura district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Friday.
Col. Mohammad Ayub Hassankhel, a border police officer, told Pajhwok Afghan News police reinforcements came under attack on their way to a check-post in Fatah Mina area.
Three Pakistani militants were nabbed after a 30-minute clash, he said, adding his forces had recovered three Kalashnikovs, a motorcycle and some landmines from their possession.
Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
