Gen. Dunford slams hotel assault as brutal

The commander of the NATO-led force said: “I express my deepest sympathies to the victims and families of those wounded and killed in last night’s attack on the Serena Hotel.”

In a statement, Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr said: “On the occasion of Nawroz, which should be a time of celebration, this attack shows a complete disregard for human life.”
