HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Three policemen were killed and two others wounded in a roadside bomb explosion in the Obe district of western Herat province on Tuesday, an official said.
The incident occurred in Sadri area at 10:00am when the remote control bomb hit a police vehicle patrolling the area, said the provincial commander of public order police.
Gen. Syed Baqir Murtazawi told Pajhwok Afghan News police had detained a suspected individual in connection with the attack and recovered a remote controller and other explosive materials.
