ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Police have foiled an attempt to smuggle 76 kilograms of drugs to Iran in southwestern Nimroz province, officials said on Sunday.
The drugs were seized from a car in Kang district, the border police chief for the forth battalion said.
Mohammad Rafi Famili added police also captured one smuggler with 30 kilograms of opium, 12 kilograms of heroin and poppy bulbs.
A gun was also seized from the detainee’s possession. The Ministry of Interior (MoI) confirmed the incident and said the detainee was under investigation.
