GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Three policemen were killed and eight civilians wounded during two separate incidents in southern Ghazni province on Tuesday, officials said.
A National Directorate of Security (NDS) officer and two policemen were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in hit a landmine near the Zana Khan district headquarters, the governor’s spokesman said.
Shafique Nang told Pajhwok Afghan News four civilians were wounded when a mortar shell fired by militants hit the Farkhi Square area in Ghazni City in the morning.
But Ghazni Civil Hospital Director Dr Baaz Mohammad Himmat said they had received eight wounded people from the scene. He added three of the wounded were in critical condition.
