Suicide bomber strikes near police battalion

QALAT (Pajhwok):  A suicide bomber exploded his explosives-laden rickshaw against a police battalion in the capital of southern Zabul province on Tuesday evening, an official said.

The blast took place around 6:30 pm in Qalat, but there were no immediate information about casualties, the security official told Pajhwok on condition of anonymity.

He said ambulances and security forces  rushed to the blast site.
