Policeman guns down 3 in Arghandab

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): A policeman has gunned down two of his relatives and a commander in the Arghandab district of southern Kandahar province, a source said on Friday.

Identified as Omaid, the policeman shot dead his spouse and mother-in-law in Sokh Chala area late on Friday. Two children were wounded in the shooting.

One official, requesting not to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News Omaid also killed a police commander who was trying to arrest him.

Haji Shah Mohammad Ahmad, the district’s administrative head, confirmed the incident. “I have no more details. The policeman killed his spouse and mother-in-law before shooting the commander.”
