KABUL National Standard Authority (ANSA) laboratory was inaugurated in Kabul on Tuesday, an official said.
ANSA Director Popalzai Popal said the German Development Organisation (GIZ) and his department jointly funded the building, with provision of laboratory equipment.
The new building has been erected close to the old ANSA office in the Hotkhel locality on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway.
Popalzai told Pajhwok Afghan News the laboratory had latest equipment for testing food stuff, construction material, crude oil and electric tools.
He said similar laboratories would be constructed in Hairatan, Aqina, Islam Qala, Torghondi and Sher Khan Ports to ensure the quality of goods and food items imported into the country.
