KABUL (Pajhwok): The election watchdog on Sunday said it had so far received 275 complaints, including those lodged over the telephone, about fraud in the runoff presidential election.

Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) spokesman Nader Mohseni told reporters 29 of the objections had been filed against Independent Election Commission (IEC) staffers.

He said the election process had been peaceful in much of the country, but was rife with instances of law violations and fraud.

Mohseni said there were fewer complaints, threats and problems during the second round of presidential election in comparison with the first round in April.
