KABUL on Friday, the alliance said.
One ISAF canine also died in the attack, the NATO-led force said in a brief statement, which neither gave the victims’ nationalities nor the exact location of the bombing.
But an Afghan official told Pajhwok Afghan News a suicide bomber attacked an ISAF convoy in Helmand.
The bomber on a motorcycle detonated his explosives close to the NATO-led troops in the Dash area of Nad Ali district at about 10am, the governor’s spokesman said.
Omar Zwak told Pajhwok Afghan News information about casualties among foreign troops was not immediately available.
As usual, the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack. A spokesman for the group, Qari Yousaf Ahmadi, said several soldiers suffered casualties and two of their tanks were destroyed.
With Friday’s fatalities, the number of ISAF soldiers killed in Afghanistan during the current year has gone up to 44, including 30 American troops.
