JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Three armed insurgents were killed and two drivers during an attack on a truck terminal of foreign troops in the Torkham border town of eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday, officials said.
Public Order Police Commander Col. Mohammad Hassan told Pajhwok Afghan News the attackers in an explosives-laden car wanted to enter the terminal at 4.30am. Police hit the vehicle with a rocket.
The assailants attached magnetic bombs to some vehicles, he said, adding the resulting blasts left 37 vehicles on fire. The suicide bombers were killed, but police suffered no casualties in the clash, according to the commander.
