Australian service member killed in Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): Suffering grievous injuries in a mysterious incident, an Australian soldier succumbed to injuries in the capital Kabul, an official said Wednesday.

Australia Defence force chief Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin on Wednesday announced one of its special force soldier died after he was found with serious wounds in a building.

The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF yesterday.” 

 Mark Binskin told reporters initial information suggested the soldier was wounded in a non-military incident.

Currently, Australia has 400 soldiers in Afghanistan who were deployed in Uruzgan and Kabul provinces.

The country had previously 2,000 soldiers in Afghanistan and 41 of them had been killed so far since the start of their mission.
