ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Pakistani forces once again fired up to 71 rockets into three districts of eastern Kunar province, inflicting financial losses on residents, an official said on Monday.
Kunar police chief Brig. Gen. Abdul Habib Syedkhel told Pajhwok Afghan News the shelling began late on Sunday evening and continued until Monday morning.
The long-range rockets landed in Wara Goriga, Loya Goriga and Khar areas of Dangam district, in Sano Dara area of Shegal district and Marawora district, he said, adding no casualties had been reported.
“The Pakistani forces terrified our innocent people even on the eve of Eidul Fitr,” said the police chief, who strongly condemned the shelling and called for an immediate halt to the atrocities.
