ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Ten militants have been killed in an International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) airstrike in eastern Kunar province, an official claimed on Friday.
NATO-led troops conducted the overnight drone attack on an insurgent hideout in the Sangar area of Watapur district, the provincial police chief told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Brig. Gen. Abdul Habib Syedkhel said 10 fighters, including the Taliban Rabbani and Habib Gul were also among the dead.
There was no immediate reaction from the Taliban. Drone strikes have lately increased in eastern and southern provinces of the country.
