TALOQAN (Pajhwok): Four religious scholars were killed in a traffic accident in northern Takhar province on Saturday, the governor’s spokesman said.
Sunnatullah Timuri told Pajhwok Afghan News the vehicle the scholars were travelling flipped over between Taloqan and Hazarsmach area.
The men were on their way to a graduation ceremony at a religious school in Hazarsmach, the official said, adding that another two scholars were wounded.
He said the injured were referred to a Kunduz hospital in critical condition. Timuri blamed the incident on reckless driving on a lousy road.
