ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Police have destroyed a drug laboratory after in southwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Sunday.
The factory was operating in Zaranj, the provincial capital. Police also detained nine people during a raid on the lab, the crime branch chief said.
Col. Mohammad Qasim Jangalbagh told Pajhwok Afghan News the factory was producing Crystal — a refined form of heroin
Earlier, more than 10 tonnes of drugs that were seized from different parts of the province had been torched by the authorities.
