TALUQAN (Pajhwok): A bomb-rigged motorcycle went off on Sunday evening in a cattle market in northern Takhar province, killing one civilian and injuring six others, including a local policeman, an official said.
The remotely-controlled blast occurred as a local police vehicle arrived at the scene in Baharak district, the governor’s spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Sunatullah Taimur said the injured had been shifted to the district hospital and their injuries were said to be not life-threatening.
He said the target of the blast was a local police vehicle, but mostly civilians got hurt.
