QALAT (Pajhwok) An explosives-laden vehicle went off before reaching its target in Qalat, the capital of southern Zabul province, on Sunday.
Ahmad, an eyewitness, told Pajhwok Afghan News he saw one person wounded and the area cordoned off by security forces. The heavy blast was heard even in remote areas, he said.
Deputy police chief Ghulam Jilani Farahi confirmed the incident, saying that only one person was slightly injured. The explosives had been packed in a Fielder car.
