QALAT (Pajhwok): Four people were injured in a bomb blast in Qalat, the capital of southern Zabul province, on Tuesday, an official said.
Col Ghulam Jilani, the deputy police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the bomb exploded in front of the provincial police headquarters at 10:30.
He said the remote-controlled device — planted in a handcart — exploded when a police van was passing by. He informed two policemen and a civilian were injured.
Police have arrested a suspect with a remote controller. Lal Muhammad Tokhi, in charge of Zabul Civil Hospital, confirmed receiving four injured people.
