KABUL (Pajhwok): The spy service on Wednesday said its agents thwarted a car bomb plot in the central capital Kabul.
The National Directorate of Security (NDS) in a statement said the car carried about 150 kilograms of explosives, which had been skillfully placed in hidden places of the vehicle.
Without giving the exact time and location of the confiscation, the NDS said the car had been prepared at a terrorist camp across the Durand Line.
NDS engineers failed to defuse the water gel explosives, but were sucessful to detonate the car precisely, the statement said.
