Currently on a four-day visit to Beijing, his first foreign trip, Ghani met China’s Prime Minister Li Keqiang, assuring the Chinese entrepreneurs of investment security and facilities.
Ghani and Li are scheduled to address the Fourth Foreign Ministerial Conference of the Istanbul Process on Afghanistan. He thanked China for hosting the meeting and said further deepening its strategic partnership with China was a core principle of Afghanistan’s foreign policy.
According to a statement from the Presidential Palace here, Li voiced China’s willingness to participate in Afghanistan’s infrastructure construction.
While opening up westward, China backed Afghanistan’s peaceful reconstruction and was willing to take part in rebuilding its infrastructure including railway, roads, water conservation, and electricity, the premier said.
