Would-be bomber blown up in Kandahar

KANDAHAR (Pajhwok): A would-be suicide bomber was blown up by his own explosives before reaching his target in southern Kandahar province on Saturday, an official said.

The incident took place around 7am when a motorcycle suicide bomber planned to target the 3rd police district, police spokesman Zia Durrani told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said the bomber, after being positively identified by police, lost confidence and detonated his explosives. There were no other casualties.
