ANA loses 4 soldiers to roadside bombing

KABUL (Pajhwok): Four Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers have been killed in separate security incidents in different parts of the country over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said on Sunday.

According to a statement from MoD, three militants were also killed and 10 others wounded during clearing operations by Afghan forces in Ghazni, Helmand and Herat provinces.

Two rebels were arrested and 21 roadside bombs seized. The statement added four ANA soldiers were also killed when a roadside bomb hit their vehicle.

According to MoD, 6,800 Afghan soldiers have lost their lives in violence sice March 21. MoD spokesman Zahir Azimi said the operations were going on in 11 different provinces.
