New Kabul City to become future trade hub

KABUL (Pajhwok): The New Kabul City’s development authority and the British-Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BACCI) on Tuesday inked an agreement on cooperation in areas of mutual benefit.

Eng. Ghulam Sakhi Hassanzada, the New Kabul City master plan CEO, said investments by national and international private sectors held key to the project’s sustainability.

He said foreign direct investment could help convert the under-construction city into a trade and commerce hub.

He said the New Kabul City was a safe project for investment and would be a focal point for future trade activities for being the country’s largest-ever residential scheme.

Spread over 1,535 acres of land, the New Kabul City between Deh Sabz district of Kabul and Barikab district of Parwan provinces will have around 600,000 residencies for three million people.
