KABUL’s under-19 cricket team on Friday left for Kuwait to participate in the U-19 premier Asia Cup beginning on Sunday, an official said.
The six-nation cup features Cup scheduled to take place in Bangladesh in the year 2016.
Afghanistan Cricket Board spokesman Farid Hotak told Pajhwok Afghan News the Afghan team departed for Kuwait on Friday.
He said Afghanistan would play their opening match on Sunday against Malaysia, second against the UAE on Monday, third against Saudi on Oct. 12, fourth against Nepal on Oct 14 and on Oct 15 against Nepal and on Oct 16 against the hosts.
Hotak said the under-19 Afghan side had undergone a training session in Pakistan and were well-prepared to compete in the tournament.
