GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Ten militants have been killed during a clash and a bomb blast in southern Ghazni province, officials said on Thursday.
Nazifullah Sultani, a 203rd Thunder Military Corps spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News six rebels were killed, including a notorious commander, during a clash with the troops in the Maqur district on Wednesday night.
The clash erupted after Taliban militants attacked an Afghan National Army check-post in the area, he said.
Another four militants, including two foreigners, were killed during an explosion in the Waghaz district.
The district police chief, Abdul Qadir, said the four were killed by the mine they were planting.
The Taliban have so far not commented on the two incidents. However, they claimed killing many security forces in other areas of the province.
