BAMYAN (Pajhwok): Four people were killed and five others injured in three separate road accidents in central Bamyan province, officials said Sunday.
A university student died instantly and three others wounded following a head-on collision between two motorbikes.
Health officials in provincial hospital told Pajhwok Afghan News that the injured were in stable condition.
In another accident, a truck overran two children and left the third one severe wounded. Officials said the driver who lost control over his vehicle fled the scene and police started raids to nab him.
The third accident occurred last night in which one person was died and another wounded as a result of motorcycles collision.
Bamyan traffic officials said the main reasons for surge in accidents were drivers’ negligence and poor roads. A plan, he said would soon be launch to create awareness among drivers to follow traffic rules.
