KABUL organizations on Sunday warned to stage series of protests if the government failed to form cabinet without further delay.
The civil society representatives in a gathering demanded the disintegration of incumbent cabinet in order to end ongoing corruption and bad governance.
Qazi Ismail Azad, president of the ANC while speaking on the occasion said consensus could not be reached to form cabinet after the lapse of two months that the national unity government was established.
President Ashraf Ghani foreign visits did not prove fruitful for Afghanistan, he complained, adding that progress on important issues such as formation of cabinet could not be made.
He said that government should select competent and patriotic persons for cabinet. Formation of cabinet should be finalized before London Conference scheduled to be held in December.
The participants of the conference warned to launch country-wide protests if the government failed to form cabinet.
Earlier, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah had said that talks over selection of individuals for cabinet were underway. He said that ministers for the security and economic posts would possibly be selected before the London conference.
