KABUL (Pajhwok): Foiling a possible terror atatck, security personnel have seized an explosives-laden car in the fifth police district of Kabul on Monday, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said.
A statement from the ministry said the explosives-packed Town Ace was impounded with three bombs, five hand grenades and other devices.
“The terrorists planned to carry out an attack in Kabul, but their plot has been foiled as a result of an operation in the 5th police district,” the statement added.
The driver of the car was detained and is currently under investigation, according to the statement. A bomb planted on a road in Bagrami district was also defused.
